    1. Just came across this post via Pinterest. You have such beautiful taste and design ideas! Can you share where you got your rugs in the living room? I just purchased an old farmhouse and love the idea of layering rugs over the hardwood floors.

    1. Hi Tami! Thank you so much for your sweet comment. The wall color is Sherwin Williams Sea Salt.

      1. Are the couches from ikea durable and comfortable? I’m just wondering the lifespan before purchasing one. With young kids I figured an IKEA couch would be a wise choice. Our leather couch lasted 10 years.

        1. Hi Jodie! we love the Ikea couches. They are really comfortable, I will say they are not as deep as your standard couch, we are both short so it works out well for us. My favorite part is that the slip covers are washable. We have washed a couple of times and they are like brand new.

  1. Your home is beautiful!!! We share the same style taste. I have to ask… Where in the world did you find those perfect curtains?! They are exactly what I am looking for 🙂

    1. Hi Linda! Thank you so much for the sweet comment. The ceiling light was there when we moved in so I am not sure where it is from.

    1. Hi Lindsey! The jute rug is from Rugs USA, the grey rug is from World Market and the blue and grey rug is from well woven.

    1. Hi Janel! Thank you for the sweet comment. I have collected these from a variety of places; Target, Ikea, With Lavender and Grace, and Joss and Main.

  3. Hi Micheala! Your site is beautiful- as if I expected any different :)- and am so glad I popped in. I was checking my etsy stats and, I was so surprised to see I’d had several visitors from michealadianedesigns.com! It was so very sweet of you to leave links for your signs- I really appreciate that! And now, instead of just giving your IG page photo credit on the “My Happy Place” sign, I’ll leave a link to here, as well. Your support has been wonderful, and I’m thrilled we got a chance to work together! Hope you are well, and look forward to popping in again! Your blog is just lovely! Take care, Christie, Pallets and Peonies

  7. Your house is Gorgeous!!!

What paint color did you use throughout your living areas!? It’s such a dreamy color!!

  8. Your home is absolutely beautiful. I really love your sofas. I see that they’re from the Ektorp Collection at IKEA. Are they white or beige?

  9. I was looking at the 2018 Christmas Home Tour …….. so beautiful!! I’d love to know the color of wall paint in the living room (where the picture of couches with My Happy Place framed and hanging in the middle is) I’m wanting to go all shades of white in my home and I love what you choose!

  10. Beautiful home, took time to read the comments to find out the colors of paint on your wall, I have alabaster as a top choice, we have a bi level so it’s pretty much opened , would that be too much if I used it all through the living room kitchen and dining room and foyer? What undertones does it give and would it look good with dark grey or black living room sofas, I’m loving the looks of your decor, but we have pets and I have to pet proof everything.

    1. Alabaster is a great color to carry through to multiple rooms. It is a warmer white so if anything it had more yellow undertones but very subtle if any.

  11. This is an amazing article! Thank you for sharing so many wonderful ideas. I know you put a lot of effort into collecting these ideas and sharing them!
