1. Throw Pillows with Texture
Throw pillows are my favorite way to make a space cozy. In the winter adding extra textured pillows to your home makes it feel even cozier for those cold nights. I love using velvet, chunky knits, faux fur and anything woven.

2. Heavy Throw Blankets
Throw blankets are another great way to cozy up your home. Similar to using textured pillows in the winter you will want to grab those heavier throw blankets. You can use throw blankets on your sofa, reading chair and I like to place them inside baskets around my home.

3. Winter Greenery
I love decorating with plants all year round. When it’s time to put away the Christmas decor I like to leave out some of my winter greens that are not flocked, just natural. This could be as simple as removing lights and leaving your trees naked throughout winter. I also like to add in eucalyptus. This year I placed eucalyptus stems in vases all throughout my house.

4. Hang a Wreath
I love adding layers of greens to my home and a wreath adds some cozy interest. For winter I recommend a wreath with just greens like the one I used in my den. Below are some of my favorites.

After the holidays I like to switch up the art in my home to give it a fresh look. It is super easy to swap art or even just switch them around since you already have the nails in place.
7. Add a Pop of Color
Pillows are a great way to add a pop of color. I did this by adding velvet green pillows to my sofa. I love using dark green for winter because it brings the feel of outdoors in.
8. Make Your Home Glow
After you have taken away the glow of your Christmas tree it is sad to see the magical twinkle go way. Well, it doesn’t have too! I love using battery-operated twinkle string lights and candles to make my home feel extra cozy and keep that glow going. You can fill glass vases with twinkle lights or just added some battery operated candles to your coffee table.
