Below are my six go-to tips for neutral fall styling, plus how to bring them into your living room, entryway, kitchen, and bedroom this year.

Fall decor does not have to be all bright orange pumpkins, scarecrows, and jack-o-lanterns. Here are some tips for adding subtle, natural, and neutral touches of fall!
1. Use Muted & Softer Fall Colors

A neutral fall entryway doesn’t need much to feel seasonal. Start with a simple wreath in dried florals, wheat, or faux eucalyptus instead of the traditional orange-and-black mix. It reads as fall all season long, not just October.
Add a stack of cream or woven pumpkins on a console table, layer in a chunky neutral throw over a bench, and swap your entry tray or catch-all for something in a warm wood tone. A few stems of dried leaves or a natural fiber runner finish it off. It’s an easy, low-effort refresh if you only have five minutes by the front door.

A neutral fall bedroom starts with your bedding. Swap in a chunky knit throw or a waffle-weave blanket in a warm neutral, and add a few extra textured pillows in cream, taupe, or soft brown. A small vase of dried florals on your nightstand or dresser adds a seasonal touch without needing to redecorate.
If you want to go a step further, this is a great time to switch your bedside candle to something warmer, like sandalwood, cedar, or spiced vanilla for a subtle, cozy layer that doesn’t compete with the rest of your neutral palette.
