Sharing our toddler girl bedroom refresh and all the design sources.
We recently updated our toddlers’ bedroom. This is the first change we made since her gender-neutral nursery. We did not find out what we were having, the best surprise ever. You can check that out here. It was time to add a little bit of her personality to the space. Let’s just say she loves the color pink.
With that in mind, we moved around some furniture, added toy storage, created a darling reading nook, and added some girly pink touches to the decor.

I always start my projects with a design board. This is such a big help when designing a room because you can see how everything will look together before you press the buy button. I make all my boards on PicMonkey.
Convertible Crib
Convertible Crib / crib mattress
For her toddler girl bedroom instead of upgrading her to a twin-size bed, we kept her convertible crib. She loves her bed and we didn’t want to make too many big changes. We have the Austen Convertible Crib from Pottery Barn and love it. You can buy it with the toddler conversion kit and that has allowed us to use it past the baby years. We added the toddler railing and it was the perfect transition.
We also use the Newton Baby Mattress for all our babies. It is 100% breathable and washable. One of the best purchases. Its washability alone makes it a winner!
Toddler Crib Bedding
COMFORTER / SHEETS / TODDLER PILLOW / bunny
When we switched her crib to a toddler bed we also got her new bedding. We went with The Company Store. Not many places sell crib-size bedding other than sheets. I loved the selection at The Company Store and they are always running a good sale.
Here is the bedding we chose;
Ditsy Gingham Classic Organic Cotton Percale Comforter Set
Ditsy Star Classic Cool Organic Cotton Percale Sheet Set

Name Sign
NAME SIGN / Mounting Tape
This is one of my favorite decor items in her room. We waited to find out her gender until she was born and with that we didn’t have a name yet and we weren’t able to do a name sign. With this toddler girl bedroom refresh I wanted to be able to add her name.
We went with this large-scale custom wood name sign from Adoren Studio on Etsy. We had a great experience working with this shop. They also did the name sign for our other little one’s nursery. We kept our natural but there is a large selection of paint and stain options. They can be customized however you would like.
We attached it to the wall using a couple of finish nails and Scotch Double-Sided Mounting Tape. It hold up to 15lb and we have had no issue with it staying on.
Reading Nook
PICTURE LEDGES / cHAIR / CANOPY / WALL BANNER / THROW PILLOW / bLANKET
My girl LOVES to read. We had a book wall but she could only reach the first shelf. For her toddler girl bedroom refresh I wanted to make her reading nook more accessible and much bigger.
We relocated the books to a bigger wall and added long picture ledges. I found the perfect ones at Ikea. They are the white MOSSLANDA picture ledges (45.25 inches long). I based the height of the picture ledges off of her reach. Making sure she would be able to reach the top shelf. The ledges work perfectly for books.
For her reading chair, we used the Brynn swivel chair from World Market. This is one of my favorite armchairs. It is so comfortable and makes a great reading chair. We added some pretty pink elements with this throw pillow and blanket.
For a final touch and a little fun, we added a pretty pink canopy over the chair.
Toy Storage
Toy Organizer / Foldable Cube Baskets
Storage in a toddler bedroom is a must! We keep the majority of our toys in our playroom with a backstock in storage for toy rotation. You can see our playroom organization here. But we also like to keep some toys in her room. Especially ones that may not be suitable for our youngest.
I wanted to do a mix of basket storage and open cubbies and this Cubby Toy Organizer was the perfect fit. I used these blush pink cube baskets for the top three sections and they fit perfectly. The cube baskets come in a pack of six so I was also able to use them in her closet as well. The bottom portion is perfect for doll and stuffed animal storage.
Toddler Room Art
Banner / Daisy Print / wooden Poster Frame
When it comes to a well-designed room wall decor is key. It can make your room feel complete and it is the perfect opportunity to add some personality to your space.
We have a mirror over her dresser and a name sign over her bed. I wanted to fill a couple more of the empty holes in the room.
Above the book wall, I went with the fun whimsical banner from Hunny Prints. Hunny Prints has the cutest wall banners that are perfect for kid spaces. I went with the Beautiful Girl You Can do Amazing Things Banner.
Then above her toy organizer, I went with a framed print. I got the Pink Daisy digital print off Etsy and printed it in poster size at my local Walgreens. Then I put it in a wooden poster frame. This is the most inexpensive way to add art to your home.
